On August 16, 2016, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser celebrate 21 years old, the first version of Internet Explorer is on August 16, 1995.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 1 was initially released along with Windows 95 Operating System. At this time Nestape is the most popular web browser running on Windows Machine. After 5 years of browser industry, in the early of 2000’s Microsoft Internet Explorer found a competitor “Mozilla Firefox” a fast and customizable web browser. Google also enters the competition of Web browser on the year 2008 as the Google Chrome web browser was initially released.
At this time, Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 is the last version, Although Microsoft won’t be releasing any new set features of IE they will continue to provide security updates. Microsoft is now focusing on their “Microsoft Edge” a web browser, replacing Internet Explorer as the default web browser in all Microsoft related devices.
As you can see the table below shows that Google Chrome still dominating in web browser and increasing their users month after month. Let’s see how other web browser will emerge in the upcoming months and years.
