National Aeronautics and Space Administration “NASA” historic Demo-2 mission has been delayed due to bad weather over the launch site around Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. Tropical Storm Bertha is the main reason of bad weather in the nearby NASA headquarter in Florida.
The scheduled launch time of the Demo-2 Mission is today May, 27,2020 “4:33pm” but the flight weather officer saw a lightning in the area 17 minutes before the scheduled time and decided to postpone the flight. The Demo-2 Mission is set to launch on Saturday, May 30, 2020 19:22:45 UTC(3:22:45 PM EDT).
Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, former military pilots is the 2 astronauts and the first astronauts from SpaceX in DEMO-2 mission, since the NASA collaborated with private Company SpaceX by Elon Musk.
Who is Elon Musk?
Elon Musk is the founder of Space Exploration Technologies Corporation “SpaceX” a private company focusing on Aerospace products. He founded the SpaceX on May 6, 2002 that was 18 years ago, his goal is to reduce space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars.
In 2001, Elon Musk conceptualized Mars Oasis, a project to land a miniature experimental greenhouse and grow plants on Mars.
