Taipei – Taiwan – A Taiwan Tv station “CTiTV” news creates fear for their viewers on Saturday, March 28,2020, by putting a message “Taiwan is just six days away before complete lockdown”. CTiTV station taken down the message after viewers alerted the National Communications Commission “NCC”.

Despite the alarming cases of the Corona virus “covid-19” spreads rapidly world wide. Taiwan preventive measures of the virus are effective. Other countries with confirmed cases grows rapidly, unlike Taiwan, which first confirm cases of the virus is 2 months ago, case has been rising steadily, with a total of 283 confirm cases with 2 fatalities.
CTiTV station misunderstand and apologized to their viewers, CTiTV station cited that their original intent after Health and Welfare Minister “Chen Shih-chung’s” statement on March 26, 2020 that the following 8 days would be crucial in the fight of Corona Virus. CTiTV station apologized for the message to National Communications Commission and its viewers, the company explained, that they meant to say that there were still 6 of those critical days left.

National Communications Commission “NCC” discuss about the incident, whether to fine TV station for the Wreckless message that create panic to their viewers. Taiwan Government does not issue yet of a lockdown but Taipei Mayor said in a statement that Taipei will be prepared if ordered to lockdown that could affect 2 million people in the city alone.
As of this writing Taiwan only had 283 confirm cases and 2 deaths, meanwhile Italy the worst affected countries had more than 10,000 deaths, United States the highest confirm cases of Corona Virus with 123,750.
