MANILA, Philippines – San Miguel Beermen tie the series at 1 apiece after defeating Magnolia Hotshots (92-77) for their game 2 of the best of seven series in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup Finals at the Mall of Asia Arena on March 25, 2018 (Sunday).

Arwind Santos led San Miguel to even the series with 24points and 8rebounds. Marcio Lassiter and Alex Cabagnot also added 16 and 15points respectively.
After a slow start of both teams in the opening quarter, San Miguel escaped with 13points lead at the half. Just like in game 1 San Miguel strike again the Hotshots and lead by (71-50) in the two minute frame of the third quarter.
Magnolia rallied again in the opening of the final quarter to forced 11-0 run, same with what they did in game 1 with 13-0 blast. Magnolia put San Miguel’s drought in 5 minutes and trimmed the lead to a single digit (75-68) but now San Miguel had the answer highlighted by Arwind Santos trey, then a fastbreak lay-up by Fajardo and went 10-0 run to extend the lead (85-68).
San Miguel Beermen bench got a huge help in the win with 20points compared to game 1 with 1point and now Magnolia’s bench only limited by 24points.

Brian Heruela finished with 10points off the bench for San Miguel all in the first half.
June Mar Fajardo also finished in double-double with 12points and 13 rebounds.
Mark Barroca led the Hotshot with 18points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 assist. Ian Sangalang who had a career high in game 1 only limited with 11points and 5 rebounds.
