Manila, Philippines – It’s a rematch of the Western Conference Finals last season between Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder. Durant continues to punish his former Oklahoma Thunder. This was his second meeting with her long time teammate Russel Westbrook at Oracle Arena. Thunder also played tonight without key player Steven Adams due to concussion-protocol.
It was only 2 months when Durant scored 39pts against his former team last November 3, 2016 in their first meeting. But tonight he posted his career high this season with 40pts in 13-16 shooting 5 of them coming from the three-point line along with his 9 of 10 free throws in the game.
Russel Westbrook also records his 21st triple-double of the season with 27pts and 15rebounds along with his 13 assist.
Warriors only made a big run on 3rd quarter where they outscored the Thunder by 15pts (22-37) lead by their key players (Durant, Thompson, Curry) who combined 30pts of 37pts of the Golden State Warriors in the third quarter alone.
With Westbrook in the bench of the first 3 minutes in the final period Warriors lead balloon to 21pts. With Durant is still on fire the Thunder could not trim the lead anymore, even Westbrook re-inserted again. Warriors had the biggest lead with 25pts (94-119) in the dying seconds.

Warriors did not have any momentum of the opening period, even Kevin Durant posted early his 10pts. Enes Kanter leads Oklahoma’s pts and filled the absence of Adams in the period with 10pts in just 6 minutes of play off the bench.

It was a close quarter again as they both tied 4times alone in the period. Thunder only found a rhythm, lead by Westbrook and Oladipo started on fire and stretch the lead to 40-33 but somehow Warriors lead 4pts in the dying seconds 52-56 but the costly Flagrant 1 foul of Pachulla to Westbrook, enable Westbrook 2 big free throws plus a jump shot on Kanter that even the score with 56 apiece.

Third Quarter
Thunder only holds the Warriors once when they tied with 63 apiece after that its all Warriors run ended with 15pts lead. Durant exploded with 13pts and Thompson added 8pts also Curry made 9pts alone in this quarter.

Stephen Curry added 24pts also Klay Thompson added 14pts, Draymond Green also finished with double-double performance with 12pts and 11 rebounds.
Oklahoma Thunder only had 3 players who are finished with double figure, Westbrook, who had triple double only supported by Oladipo and Kanter who scored 20pts and 22pts respectively.
Warriors are still number 1 in overall standing with (36-6) record while Oklahoma Thunder drop to (25-19) card.
Kevin Durant will return to Chesapeak Energy Arena for the first time on February 11, 2017 and March 20, 2017 (Eastern Time) for the final 2 matches of the season.
