A giant company based in Australia has been attacked by hackers and demanded a $30 million just to restore the files.
Although personal data of its client had not been compromised, but the attack forced them to stop trading online, the company also said that they will not pay that amount as the hackers demand, instead they called an IT expert to restore the files that had been affected.
Ransomware now a days is very common in the digital world, as Black Hat hackers increasingly. Once the hackers have full access to your system, they will lock your system and encrypt all your important files, followed by a ransom demand to unlock the system.
There are three types of hackers the white hackers, grey hat and black hat hackers.
Black hat
Black Hat hackers are criminals who break into computer networks with malicious intent. They may also release malware that destroys files, steals passwords, credit card numbers, and other personal information. In short Black Hat Hackers purpose is purely negative.
White Hackers
As opposed to the black hat, these are the Techie “good guys”. They are ethical hackers who create algorithms and codes to break existing internet networks, White hackers usually exist when someone system being down or being compromised by Black hat Hackers.
Grey Hat Hackers
A computer hacker or computer security expert that exploits the internet system to make public, Grey hat sometime violate laws or typical ethical standards, but does not have the malicious intent typical of a black hat.
