You might have read online or heard from a colleague the benefits of having a Coins.ph account. So you plan of opening an account so that you may also experience the benefits of having this digital wallet. This blog post can help you.
In my previous post, I have shared an introduction about this mobile application, Coins.ph. We talked about the advantages of having an account not only for personal use but also for business purposes. But before we could start using this app, we need to create an account.
There are two ways on how we can create an account. We can sign up through the website or through the App. Just follow these simple steps and you can start using your Coins.ph Account immediately. Let’s start with the website because this was the process I went through when I opened an account in 2015.
Website Registration
Step 1. On your browser, go to the Coins.ph website and click create account.
Step 2. Fill out the form with your personal details. You can choose between signing up with your email or with your mobile number. Enter your desired password. Then, click CREATE ACCOUNT
Step 3. You will be routed to a verification screen where you will be prompted to enter a verification code sent to your email or your mobile number depending on what you used during the sign up process. Copy the code and paste it on the space and click verify.
That’s it! You are now Coins.ph member.
App Registration
On the other hand, you may also sign up using the Coins.ph App on your mobile device. You can download the Coins.ph Wallet App from Play Store for Android phone or from Apple Store for IOS.
Step 1. Open the app, then, click Sign Up with Facebook or Sign Up. You may register with your mobile number or your email whatever is convenient with you.
Step 2. Click Create Account
Step 3. Find the verification code sent either through your number or your email whichever you used during the sign up process.
Congratulations! You are now a Coins.ph member
Reminder: Choose a unique password composed of at least one number and minimum of 8 characters. Avoid using passwords you have already used in your other online accounts.
Levels of Membership
Now that you already have an account, you can now deposit an amount so that you may be able to use the app for your transactions. However, it is important to note that there different levels of membership in Coins.ph. The type of membership you have comes with a certain limit in deposit or withdrawal of funds. So we need to check the desired membership level depending on the purpose of opening a Coins.ph account.
Here are the different membership levels:
Level 1
Upon signing up and after confirming your email address or mobile number, your account is at Level 1 by default. You are automatically granted a Php2,000.00 cash in limit per day. However, you cannot create cash out order.
Level 2
A level 2 account can be achieved by completing the ID and selfie verification. This level is entitled to a daily cash in and cash out limit of Php50,000.00 or an annual cash in and cash out limit of Php400,000.00.
In order to start with your ID verification, you need to log in to your account and click verify. Please refer to the list of IDs accepted by the site. Further, you need to take a selfie holding the ID you used for ID verification.
Level 3
For the Level 3 account, a member is entitled to a Php400,000.00 daily cash in and cash out. Coins.ph requires members to submit proof of residence. You must be logged in to your account to request for address verification. Here is the list of acceptable documents for address verification process.
