MANILA, Philippines – NLEX Road Warriors snatch the game 1 of their semi-final match against loaded Magnolia Hot Shots (88-87) in the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 10, 2018.
Recently NLEX Road Warriors defeated the Alaska Aces in Quarter Final and now surprisingly takes game 1 of their series opener against heavy Magnolia Hot Shots.

Cyrus Baguio finished with 17pts and 5 rebounds off the bench, Allex Mallari and Raul Soyud both finished in double digit with 14pts and 10pts respectively.
Kiefer Ravena’s Dishes, Boards and Steal lead NLEX Warriors to a victory
It was Kiefer Ravena who had a big help for NLEX Road Warriors win who tallied 16pts, 11 of them coming in the final quarter, 2 rebounds and 2 assist including the important assist that lead Mallari to a triple (86-84) with 14seconds to play then a crucial rebound after Paul Lee’s missed attempt that earn his 2 free throws to extend the lead 88-84.
The momentum got changed after Paul Lee’s trey trim the lead (88-87) with 6seconds to play, then Reavis stole the inbound from Cyrus Baguio. But Ravena swiped the ball from Raffy Reaves that sealed the win for NLEX.
Observation
Pingris exits the game with NLEX ahead by 74-71 in the final period and he was carried off on a stretcher to prevent a serious damaged. Pingris only finished with 5pts and 7 rebounds. Even a massive production of bench for Magnolia with 63pts against 48pts of NLEX. NLEX starters outscored Magnolia (40-24).
Ian Sangalang led Magnolia and just 1 shy of a double-double with 21pts and 9 rebounds along with Peter June Simon who finished 20pts off the bench. Paul Lee and Barroca only held by 8 and 9pts respectively.
