Recently the NBA is back after 4 months of being suspended by the officials because of PANDEMIC “corona virus”. NBA board officials agreed the increase of insurance payout for career-ending injury.
According to the agreement per Adrian Wojnarowski the insurance is increased to $2.5 million from $312,000. The policy also covers on-and-off court injuries, including complications from the recent Corona Virus “covid-19”.

The concerned was raised a months ago to the NBA board to increase the payout, Bam Adebayo of Miami Heat, had been vocal for a new insurance policy to players before the restart of the NBA in ORLANDO. Having a small amount of playing physical games for 4 months, for ATHLETES like NBA players could put risk for all off them entering the NBA restart.
