MANILA, Philippines – San Miguel Beermen clinched their 4th straight PBA Philippine Cup finals after defeating Ginebra in game 5 (100-94) at the Cuneta Astrodome on March 17, 2018 (Saturday).
Its a balanced attack for the Beermen as all of their starters got a double figure, June Mar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter led Beermen with 25points each to go along with 9 and 8 rebounds respectively.
Ginebra got a momentum in the first half and leading as much as 12points before Beermen even with 55 apiece to end the second period.

Japeth Aguilar led Barangay with 32points including his 12points marker in the third period to go along with 4 rebounds and 2 assist.
The game was even with 94-94 in the 4minute frame before Alex Cabagnot’s lay-up to separate with 96-4 but Kings was not able to convert a single basket in the remaining minutes.
Scottie Thompson record his 2nd triple-double of his career with 10points to go along with 16 rebounds and 16 assist in the loss.
San Miguel wins enable them to rest as other series between NLEX and Magnolia is tied with 2 apiece.
