Manila, Philippines – Two high ranking officials of Philhealth submitted a medical certificate to the Senate Committee. PhilHealth President Ricardo Morales have already notified last Friday that he was undergoing treatment for lymphoma. Morales also said that he has been undergoing chemotherapy since February 2020.
The next Senate hearing will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 “Manila Time” to probe a wide spread of corruption in the PhilHealth Agency.

Other high ranking official to skip the hearing is CEO Arnel de Jesus, he already submitted a letter to Senate President Vicente Sotto III that he will not attend the hearing on Tuesday, due to an “unforeseen medical emergency”..
