David West, who recently won 2 consecutive NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors, announces his retirement on social media the day after he celebrate his 38th Birthday on August 29.

David West a two time NBA All Star who played 15 seasons in 4 different teams with the New Orleans Hornets “New Orleans Pelicans”, Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors.
He was so dominant in his stint in Pacers uniform, in which Pacers meet Lebron James 2 consecutive seasons in NBA Eastern Conference Finals (2013-2015) against the Miami Heat.

To anyone who has ever cheered me on, been in my corner, prayed or simply said a nice word on my behalf, I am grateful. Belief in yourself is non-negotiable.”

David West decided to opt out of his contract with the Pacers “$11 million” in 2015 to Join the San Antonio Spurs signing $1.5 million veteran’s minimum, but Spurs got eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder headed by “Durant and Westbrook” tandem in Western Semi-finals (4-2). David West signed on a one-year contract for the veteran’s minimum salary of $1.29 million to Golden State Warriors the day after Kevin Durant signed also with the Warriors.
West played the Warriors off the bench, averaging 4.6 points, including 3 rebounds and 2.2 assist in his first season per “basketball reference” in a Warriors uniform and make his first NBA Finals appearance against the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the “Larry O’Brien” Trophy. In 2017-2018 season David West captured his second NBA Titles, this was the second time he defeated Lebron James in NBA Finals, in his matchup against the King he had (0-2) in the Eastern Conference Finals in his former Team “Indiana Pacers” against the Miami Heat lead by Lebron James.
