Game 2 is different Barangay had lead as much 15 but they protect their lead to tie the series. Tim Cone, strategy to put Mercado to the Best Import (Allen Durham) in game 2, shut down the offense of the Bolts and limited the output of Durham to 22pts compared to game 1 which he had a monster performance of 46pts 13boards, Barangay escaped with a tight win (82-79).

Game 3 was different, Tim Cone did not put Mercado to Allen Durham in the early period, but Mercado’s foul trouble despite he’s not guarding Durham its a problem of Barangay.
Meralco Bolts win in game 3 is just an output of the 2 main weapons of (Alapag and Hugnatan) who hit 5 triples combined in clutch time when Bolts needed much. Bolts also relying to their rookie (Chris Newsome) who exploded 22pts in game 3.
Chris Ellis, who already cleared to play finished with 2pts only, while Bolts played without Jared Dillinger because of injury, Dillinger also cleared to play in the game 3 but Norman Black never inserted him.
Game 4 will another set of players, will Norman Black use the long absence of Jared Dillinger. Or will Tim Cone has another plan to shut down Allen Durham production.
Will Reynel Hugnatan still has a long shot in game 4?
We will find out this on Friday, October 14 (7:00pm) at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
