That incident happened after the hurtful loss of the TNT in game 5 of the series “99-95” in the Commissioners Cup Finals as Terrence Jones tweeted earlier and demands action by the PBA.
As a father & black man this can’t be ignored. It’s UNACCEPTABLE. Swift, significant action needs to be taken by the PBA to send a STRONG message that racism in ANY form will NOT be tolerated.
Santos was caught on camera after mimicking a monkey gesture, late in the first half of the game 5.
Although, Arwind Santos apologizes on what he did on taunting the TNT import.
I don’t mean anything bad for you. I hope you forgive me. I wanna say sorry again,” the San Miguel forward told Jones in the video.
PBA fine Arwind Santos with an amount of P200,000.00, according to PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, Santos will also render 100 hours of community service and undergo seminar and counseling on equality and racial discrimination.
