Meralco Bolts shock Barangay Ginebra in their game 1 win (114-109) but they need an extra period to beat the heavy favorite Barangay lead by L.A Tenorio, who got his career high with 36points and the very important field goals that send the game to overtime (102-102).

Allen Durham made his final debut in PBA in an explosive performance with 46pts 13board and 7assist but his rival import Justin Brownlee only got 17points in the game.
It was started by a hot start between Allen Durham and L.A Tenorio in the opening period. Tenorio, who got his 13 points and Allen Durham 17 points in the first quarter that end with (31-28) by Ginebra.
Bolts who regain their lead 34-32 in the early period of the second quarter, but Tenorio continue his shooting performance that leads them by 11 points going into the break (53-42).
Barangay Ginebra who had the biggest lead with 16 points early in the third period (58-42) but it was cut by Meralco Bolts to 5 to end the period with (80-75). Ginebra extends that lead to 11 points with under 5:41 minutes to play in the 4th (96-85). But Meralco had 7-0 run on the next position to cut by 4points (96-92). Japeth Aguilar also got his 6th personal foul with 4 minutes to play, the loss of Aguilar made the Bolts to attack inside the paint that tie the score (98-98) with only 1:10 minutes into the final period.
Alapag tied Allan Caidic record for 1,242 triples with 33 seconds left 101-100, the Bolts up by 2 when Durham splits his free throw (102-100), but Tenorio sends the game to Over time in the next position with a runner, escaping the defense of Caram and Durham.
Meralco Bolts extend their lead by Allen Durham run (7-0) in Overtime until Justin Brownlee made a field goal with 2:40 minutes to play (109-104). Ginebra continues their struggle in overtime that ended up (114-109).
