Corazon C. Aquino was born on January 25, 1933 in Panique, Tarlac. She is the 11th President of the Philippines. She was serving the Philippines in the period of February 25, 1986 – June 30, 1992.

She became the first woman to hold that office and the first female president in Asia. Aquino was the most prominent figure of the 1986 People Power Revolution, She restored democracy to the Philippines after 21-year authoritarian rule of President Ferdinand E. Marcos and she was named Time magazine’s “Woman of the Year” in 1986.
She died on August 1, 2009 at the age of 76 years old because of colorectal cancer.
