Naga, Cebu, Philippines – We all saddened by the Tragedy happened yesterday in Sitio Sindulan, Barangay Tinaan and Barangay Naalad, in which cost more than 20 people as of September 21, 2018 12:00pm.

According to A letter from Department of Environmental and Natural Resources Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region 7, last August 29, 2018 less than a month before the landslide in Sitio, Tinaan Naga, Cebu Barangay Naalad.
A copy of a memorandum stated below:
Please be informed that, based on the technical report, the manifestation of the assessed cracks/fissures in the subject site is a natural phenomenon and is not related to the mining operation within the Apo Land and Quarry Corporation (ALQC). Further, the present nature, the number and the distribution of cracks/fissures in the subject site are not considered critical and do not pose imminent danger to the neighboring community.

Based on the letter signed by Atty. Gerardo V. Mahusay, in their evaluation with their technical personnel, they said that their is no “IMMINENT DANGER”.

In an CNN interview with Pinky Web to Chito Maniago “Apo Land and Quarry Corporation” representative. According to Chito Maniago, Apo Land and Quarry is not operating or no existinq Quarry operation in the area where the landslide happened. He also admitted the Company has mining rights over the area but maintains they have not started any quarrying activity there.
But in the Naalad Area the other side of the Landslide area, we can see a Backhoe and other Equipment of Apo Land and Quarry Corporation also damage by the Landslide as the picture below:

The picture above testify that “Apo Land and Quarry Corporation” already had their operation in Naalad area which also had a Landslide.
Here at Casting Data hoping that this Tragedy of Sindulan, Tinaan Naga, Cebu will wake up City Official of Naga, Cebu to lessen or reduced the Quarry in the Mountainous Barangay, so that our fellow Citizen living in Naga, Cebu will be safe,as according to report there are 24 Barangay in Naga Cebu who are prone to landslide.
Above is the concern citizen Jay Lapitan who took many videos about the danger of their area, as of this writing Jay Lapitan is now Safe and suffer injuries.
Search and Rescue operation still ongoing in the area of Sitio Sindulan, Barangay Tinaan and Barangay Naalad in which the landslide happened.
