NBA Commissioner Adam Silver meets with the Board of Governors on a call Thursday, the discussions is to resume the 2019-2020 season with a 22-team format.
The 22 teams will participate in a 8 game tournament regular season record and to determine the top 8 seeds for both Eastern and Western Conference that will be played at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

Joining the 16 current playoff teams in Orlando: New Orleans, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Antonio in the West and Washington in the East. If the 9th seed is more than 4 games behind the 8th, No. 8 makes playoffs; Fewer than 4 games, a play-in tournament. Adrian Wojnarowski
We previously posted a top 8 teams both in Eastern and Western conference, other 6 teams has the chance to continue their season from Western Conference are the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns only the Washington Wizards in the East that was 5.5 games behind the Orlando Magic for the final playoff spot in the Eastern conference.
